I can relate to looking for "Senator Sorghum." I once was sent for a "left-handed plank straightener."

The funny thing about this film is that today these patriotic themes, themes of brotherhood and trust and loyalty to a good cause in support of the United States of America would be deemed outmoded, "cheesy," even perhaps nonsensical. But it's these themes showed in all the films created before, during, and immediately after World War 2 that need to be implemented and shared among all citizens of the United States and countries around the world. And if that spells "nationalism" or "jingoism" or anything resembling "hate" and "bigotry," then people are missing the point.Yes, all but the bathroom attendant in this film are White. So people will find fault with this in a world of identity politics. And if the film were made today, then each of these pageboys would be of all races, both sexes, and from every corner of the USA just to show diversity
